by | Jun 24, 2021 | ZAG Culture

Within each business, there’s a team of people behind the scenes who are tasked with making everything fit together. One such department is finance, where the company turns to make sure goals are being met, invoices are being sent, and that management has the information they need to make important decisions for the business. As part of the finance team, Ana Santiago is involved with each one of these tasks and financial reporting that is critical to ZAG’s business.

Meet Ana, who has worked with ZAG for more than six years.

How did you get your start in the tech industry?

I have always had an interest in helping companies build a solid foundation for future growth.

Why did you decide to join ZAG?

When I interviewed at ZAG, the passion for helping clients was indescribable. I walked out of the interview knowing this was a company I wanted to not only work for but grow with.

What are some of your accomplishments?

Building a team that has embraced the company values in our day-to-day duties that have enabled our clients to succeed.

Share a piece of professional advice that you’ve received that stands out.

I’ve received lots of advice, but the one that stands out the most is truly “no idea is a bad idea.” This has allowed me to freely share my input with my colleagues because I know that together we can resolve the issue at hand as a team.

And for more personal questions…

Do you have any hobbies or interests you’d like to share?

Since the pandemic forced all of us to shelter in place, I have taken an interest in plants. My collection has grown tremendously since I first began.

Where is the first place you want to travel once it’s safe to do so again?

What is the last good book you read?

I’ve always been a fan of mystery books and have read just all books by Michael Connelly; Fair Warning was the last book I read.
