Business Applications Administrator (Kronos)

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Business Applications Administrator oversees the analysis, planning, implementation, tracking and support for all technical activities related to Kronos. Liaison to other people within the technology environment to help provideaccess. Hands on person who is comfortable in an implementation role. Monitoring performance and troubleshooting.Someone who can work "in the trenches" with the team and "roll up their sleeves" to get work done.

Kronos

  • Manage and act as primary technical resource for all Kronos Projects
    • Upgrades
    • Add new functionality
    • New company implementations
  •  Perform configuration changes
    • Modify or create new pay rules or accrual policies
    • Establish and update delegation profiles and monitor issues
    • Help Setup new employee groups
    • Modify and schedule reports, workflow notifications, navigator display and time clock functionality
    • Configure Clock building blocks
    • Create/modify Genie displays
  • Create and modify interfaces via Workforce Center interface designer
  • Create custom SSRS reports in BIDS2008 (Visual Studio)
  • Gather and document users requirements and provide best practices solutions
  • Field support questions from users
  • Troubleshoot Kronos issues such as time card calculations, Interface issues and clock support
  • Provide escalation support
  • Follow-up on any Kronos technical advisories
    • Service packs/hotfixes

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS  

  • Effective Verbal and Written Communication
  • Solid knowledge of Kronos Workforce Central
  • Need to have a solid knowledge of SQL Server and SSRS
  • MS Access programming and troubleshooting experience
  • Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills in application functionality and its associated configuration
  • Strong organizational skills with experience tracking multiple requests and projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work with team members with varying degrees of business and technical knowledge 
  • Project Management experience preferred but not required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

Proteus CMMS (This is a Plus)

  • Manage and act as primary technical resource for all Proteus CMMS Projects
  • Gather and document users requirements and provide best practices Proteus solutions
  • Manage new company implementations
    • Manage DBA resources
    • Set up ‘Site’ on all Citrix servers
    • Set up Proteus group rights per requirements
    • Configure Proteus settings per requirements
    • Import data
    • Training
  • Create custom SSRS reports in BIDS2008
  • Field support questions from users support

Working Conditions

 Business Applications Administrator s work at company offices and at client sites
 Business Applications Administrator s work a standard work week but may be required to work some
evenings and weekends to meet project milestones

WORKING CONDITIONS

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 3 years related work experience in supporting and implementing Kronos
  • 3 to 5 years in planning or project management 
  • Minimum of 3 years related work experience in supporting Proteus V (MMX experience a plus)
  • Management of IT infrastructure deployment projects 

EDUCATION

  • Degree in a Business Administration, Computer Science or similar field or equivalent experience
