San Jose, CA – October 27, 2011 ZAG Technical Services along with Microsoft and Citrix hosted an exclusive technical briefing on Virtual Desktop Infrastructure in Mountain View, CA at the Microsoft Silicon Valley Campus on October 26, 2011.
The technical briefing featured several presenters speaking on all aspects of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). The speakers included Trent Tillman, Microsoft Datacenter Technical Specialist, who spoke about the System Center 2012 product line. The next speaker was Aaron Mowbray, Citrix Sr Technical Engineer, Aaron presented on Citrix Product XenApp and XenDesktop. Following Aaron was the ZAG customer testimonial. Eric Simmons, Director of IT Operations at Conceptus presented on a day in the life of a VDI customer. The final speaker, Michael Clark, Microsoft West Region Vice President was the guest of honor at the event. Michael presented on Embracing the Consumerization of IT and how Microsoft can fit into your company. The presentations were then followed by lunch where attendees could sit down with all the presenters as well as ZAG, Microsoft, and Citrix employees and have informal conversations about their company’s IT needs.
This event was considered to be a great success from beginning to end. ZAG, Microsoft, and Citrix all felt that everyone who attended gained some valuable information about what VDI is and how it can help their company with their day to day IT needs.
